Según investigaciones, alumnos que traban conversaciones académicas en casa dan mejor resultados académicos. Aquí tiene sugerencias para entablar una conversación con su alumno.

No hacer:

Preguntar “¿Cómo se dice… en japonés?”

Preguntar “¿Qué tal fue la clase hoy? (Contestará “Bien” y ya se acabará la conversación.)

Hacer:

Provocar que su alumno describa las detalles sobre su bachillerato y sus intereses. Pregúntele:

Enséñame una palabra o una frase que aprendiste en tu clase de japonés hoy.

¿Sobre que estás estudiando actualmente en tu clase de japonés?

¿Cuál fue el reto más grande de hoy?

¿Cómo son diferentes las reglas entre el bachillerato y la casa? ¿Crees que son justas? etc.

Research shows that students who have academic conversations at home succeed. Here's how to engage your student in a conversation.

DON'T:

Ask "How do you say... in Japanese?"

Ask "How was class?" (The conversation may end with a reply of "Good.")

DO:

Elicit details about your student’s school life and their interests. Ask:

Teach me a a Japanese word or phrase you learned in class today!

What are you learning about in Japanese class?

What was the most challenging thing you had to do today?

How are the rules at school different from at home? Do you think they are fair? etc.

研究によると、家で学校について会話をする生徒の方が学業にいい影響をもたらします。話しかける際、以下の点を覚えておくと会話がうまく進むでしょう。

❌会話が進まない

「○○は日本語でなんと言うの？」と尋ねる。

「学校はどうだった？」と聞く。（「よかった」と言ったきりで終わりがち。）

⭕️会話が進む

生徒の興味や学校生活をくわしく引き出すような質問をする。

例）「今日学んだ日本語、教えて！」

「いま、日本語のクラスで何を習っているの？」

「今日、一番大変だったことは何？」

「校則と家庭のルールを比べると、どう違うと思う？」「ルールは適切だと思う？」など。
