PARKING FEES: $25 ($20 if you reserve online ahead of time) CARPOOLING IS ENCOURAGED
LUNCH: Our student lunches have already been paid for. There is no outside food allowed in the park. There is a snack shop and a burger place if you want to send extra money with your child.
Students will be in charge of their own spending money if they choose to purchase food, drinks or trinkets at the park.
PROCEDURES FOR THIRD GRADERS WHILE AT THE PARK: Each student attending will need to check in with an adult. If you want to be the adult in charge of your child and as many friends as you would like, just let us (Mrs. Surridge and Ms. Baker) know, we will check them out to you and they never have to see us again. :) If you do not want to be the check-in person, Mrs. Surridge and Ms Baker will take that position. We will sit in the same place all day. Each third grader checking in with us will come see us after each ride so we can record which ride they will be going to next, and who their partner will be for that ride. They will be required to have a partner at every ride. Students showing up without a partner or not showing up in a reasonable amount of time, will spend some time with us rather than on the rides.
DRESS CODE: Please use the following as a guideline for swimsuits. With these standards of dress in place for our students, it is important that our teacher and parent chaperones are setting the example in their own dress and appearance, and so we appreciate your partnership in this.
Acceptable for Girls:
One-piece or modest two-piece bathing suits (two pieces, but essentially covers most, if not all of what a one-piece would cover)
Bikinis are acceptable if covered by a rash guard or non-see-through shirt for the duration of the trip
Rear ends must be covered (no thongs)
Acceptable for Boys:
Swim trunks or board shorts that cover all private areas and underwear
Bottoms must fit properly so that they are neither immodestly tight nor falling off the waste
Rash guard, t-shirt, tank top; top not required for boys
All clothing must meet our Standards of Dress and Appearance as outlined on page 4 of our policy linked below, as well as our policies for hairstyles, makeup, fingernails, and jewelry.
Salem K-8 Dress Code and Uniform Policy
If you would like to meet us there at 10:00 or stay later than 2:15, let your teacher know. We will only need to make sure we can get all the students without a parent back to the school. WE ARE ENCOURAGING CARPOOLING! Is there another parent you would like to ride with? Just let us know.
