Notebooks

We keep five notebooks in third grade.

Bible Notebook: In this notebook we will be working with our memory verses and our Bible stories.

Reader’s Notebook: This is where we collect reading strategies and write about our thinking while we are reading.

Writer’s Notebook: This is where we collect writing strategies, ideas for stories and many of our stories.

Math Notebook: This is where we record our math strategies, vocabulary, thinking and practice.

Penmanship Notebook: This is where we practice our cursive.

🚌 Notebooks will be coming home periodically for a signature from our parents/guardians. We do this so that, as a parent, you can see what we have been doing in class. Each time your child will choose three pages he/she wants you to see, EXPLAIN the page to you and ask you to add your initials and the date. Then he/she will bring your signature back to school the next day. The signatures (initials) will be included as a homework assignments.
