Course Selection

Dear Salem Academy Students,

Over the course of the next few weeks we will continue to work on the course selection process. At this point you should have received your transcript through your Rediker E-Locker, and finished your review template. This message is going to include some more information that you will need before submitting your official course selections through Rediker.

Today we are releasing a list of courses that will be offered in the 2021-2022 school year, as well as videos explaining the differences between courses where students have the opportunity for choice (see below).

We recommend that students who are passionate about a particular subject talk with their teacher(s) about their interest in honors or AP. In order to provide rigorous opportunities for students as well as a robust course offering, our honors courses next year are going to be open/embedded courses. Our goal is to cultivate heterogeneous classrooms where students can learn from a wide range of peers. If you’d like more information about this honors model, you can reach out to Ms. Jacobs and Ms. Alfredson via email.

We look forward to hearing from you and your family during conferences. As always, if you have questions about the course selection process please do not hesitate to reach out!

Best,

Ms. Jacobs & Ms. Alfredson
