Hug a Bear Day, a day where little kids are told to hug their teddy bears to show love and affection. This event is perfect during our desperate times due to social distancing. Instead of hugging each other we could hug our favorite teddy bears!! As you can see in the photos the presenter is asking the children to hug themselves since they were allowed to dress as teddy bears; which enlightened the children of kindergarten.
Our student government decided to start a rather aggressive event which was the thrilling debate between classes. Six contestants participated in the debate from each class and were put against another class with six other contestants. Each class watched their representatives fight for their side of the topic, so other students could possibly learn something from the debate too.
2020 has been a powerful reminder that we are all in this together, and our choices and actions have the power to protect the most vulnerable among us in a big way. The same holds true when it comes to breast cancer. With your support, we can show every woman that her life is important. By working together, we can inspire hope and become a force for good. Our strong and beloved student council members prepared a presentation for middle and high school students so they could learn and be more educated about breast cancer and how they could possibly avoid it.
