Rosary for the Revival

"Simple yet profound, the Rosary still remains, at the dawn of this third millennium, a prayer of great significance, destined to bring forth a harvest of holiness."
~ St. John Paul II, Rosarium Virginis Mariae

Praying for the Revival with the Rosary

During the month of May (and beyond), you are invited to pray the Rosary as both:

Pray the Rosary
as a Family

A family that prays together stays together. Gather once per week during the month of May to pray the Rosary as a family. Create a prayerful environment in the home by setting up a shrine to Jesus or Mary and light a candle.

Pray with Saint Raphael Parish

Parishioners gather at the Mary statue on Dover Center every Wednesday Evening at 6:00 PM. Join the Parish Rosary Group once this month in praying for the success of the Eucharistic Revival.

Pray the Rosary Daily

Commit to praying the Rosary daily. Whether it be one decade each day or one set of mysteries, your daily Rosary will assist your own growth in holiness and will contribute to the success of the Revival. Or join our Zoom Rosary at 10:30 a.m. (Mon-Sat)

Invite a Friend
to Pray

Invite a family member or a friend to pray the Rosary with you at some point this month. Explain to them how to pray the Rosary and teach them about the Eucharistic Revival.

What is the Rosary

The Rosary is first and foremost a prayer of contemplation on the life of Jesus Christ. In praying the Rosary, we reflect with Mary upon the various Mysteries, or key moments, of Jesus' life, and we remember his saving work. "In the decades of the Rosary, we recognize all of the events that make up the lives of individuals, families, nations, the Church, and all of humanity ... Praying the Rosary ensures that what Jesus has done and what the liturgy makes present is profoundly assimilated into our lives" (St. John Paul II, Rosarium Virginis Mariae).

The Rosary is also a prayer of supplication. As Catholics, we have confidence that Mary, the Mother of God, who asked Jesus to perform his first miracle at the wedding feast at Cana (Jn 2:3), can obtain all things from the heart of her Son. As you pray the Rosary this May, ask Mary to intercede on our behalf for the success of the Revival, that our parish community may receive the grace of a deepened love for and understanding of Jesus' presence in the Eucharist.
