From the President

The Home & School Board would like to send a special thanks to the Mardi Gras Chairs Jenn Zastudil and Casey Persia for orchestrating an amazing event. Jr. High night was a night to remember thanks to Suzi Schramko and Adrienne Viola. The games chairs, Andrea Davis and Kyle Sloan, jumped right in and developed new games that the kids loved. The prize room was filled with amazing goodies thanks to Jen Sindyla and Laura Uutala. Concessions chairs, Christine Christopher and Rebecca Kette, added Dippin'Dots to the selection this year which kids loved! The raffle prizes were unbelievable due to the efforts of many, but organized by Maureen Dando and Amy Thompson. Our school was transformed into a mini New Orleans thanks to Tracy Galvin and David Glowe. All the volunteers had assignments, name tags and were ready to go thanks to Jordanne Birch.

Lastly, thanks to all who donated cakes, cookies, pop, water and, most importantly, those who volunteered their time. It is all very much appreciated!

Katie

Mardi Gras 2017

Another fun year in the books!

This weekend was St. Raphael’s annual Mardi Gras. This fun filled weekend is a long standing tradition at our school...dating back nearly 40 years! Lots of changes have gone into this event over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is the FUN had by all!

The PAC is transformed Friday night into a Jr High only event, filled with a DJ, games and food, prizes and a crazy game of human hungry hippo! Saturday - the family fun day begins with lots of games and prizes, food and of course the nail biting raffle! Many great items were won again this year.

If you came out and enjoyed some of this weekend’s festivities, you saw first hand the amount of work and dedication that goes into this tradition. Just saying “thanks” doesn’t seem to do justice to the Chair People and volunteers committed to making Mardi Gras fun for all. As you witnessed - Mardi Gras is NOT possible without the many volunteers who dedicate their time and talent for a successful fundraiser!
