Welcome back to another fantastic school year! I am so excited for my 11th year at SPS and my 21st year teaching.
A little background about myself: I'm originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. I attended Catholic school from Kindergarten through high school at Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans (Go Cubs!). I then traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I graduated from the University of Alabama with my B.S. in Secondary Education. I returned to New Orleans to teach middle school math and social studies and earn my Masters of Education Degree in Educational Administration from the University of New Orleans. About 13 years ago, our family moved to Pennsylvania (with a short stop in New Jersey) for my husband's job. We now call PA home.
I have three wonderful kids - John (9th Grade Bishop Shanahan), Joey (SPS 8 th grade), and my daughter Emma (SPS 3rd grade). When I'm not at school or taking care of the kids, I enjoy taking pictures of my kids and the beautiful scenery around the area, running the local trails, and traveling to lots of regional sporting events.
