Girls who Code

St.Matthews School is excited to announce that beginning in January 2019, we will be offering a free Girls who Code after school club. Getting young girls excited about coding has never been more important.

• Roughly 74 percent of girls in middle school express an interest in engineering, science and math, but by the time they get to college, just 0.3 percent choose computer science as a major.
• Woman only hold about 24% of computing jobs in the work force, and it is projected to drop to 22% by 2025. The founder of Girls who Code Reshma Saujani, is addressing the issue one girl at a time
