This term we are looking into "Creatures of the World". How do creatures adapt to their environment? What adaptations may or might be needed for creatures to survive? What sort of creatures used to inhabit our environment?
This term we are looking at Creatures of the World. We will go on expeditions through books and technologies to research information on your chosen animal. You will find facts about your animals habitat to help you design a model habitat for your chosen animal at the zoo.
We will also look at designing models of bird houses and build them for our native manu in the Rereanga Awa.
Week 7:
This week we are looking at applying and analyzing our information we have gathered so far.
To do this: You will imagine yourself as a journalist that is attending the signing of the Treaty. Write down key notes and facts you have gathered to make your headline on the cover of the Daily News 1840.
Please make a copy of the canva before going ahead with the activities and save this into your Inquiry Folder.
This week we'll dive deeper into Te Tiriti O Waitangi by reading the comic journal and recalling key ideas, making inferences to answer the questions.
Click on the journal to access the book. You can either listen or read the book yourself.
Your follow up activity is on the slides below.
