Lomo Saltado
One of Peru's most popular dishes is Lomo Saltado. This plate contains steak, french fries, and white rice. Vegetables can be eaten with this dish also, such as peppers and onions. Lomo Saltado in English means jumping beef. It is translated to this because of how the beef looked when it was being stir-fried.
Religion
Cathedral of Lima
The Cathedral of Lima is a Roman Catholic cathedral. The main religion in Peru is Catholicism. With most of the population identifying as some form of Christianity (74.6%), the majority identify as Catholic (60%). Other Peruvians identify as Evangelical (11.1%) and others as no religion at all.

Ponchos
One type of poncho worn in Peru is the Alpaca Poncho. The Alpaca Poncho is very traditional in Peru and was worn by Andean people for a long time. Surprisingly, they are still worn today. These ponchos symbolize indigenous culture in the Andes. Alpaca ponchos are made out of alpaca fiber. The ponchos have beautiful patterns and symbols made woven into the poncho.
