There are 31 mountain ranges in Ireland, but the most famous and well known mountain range is Carrauntoohil. Carrauntoohil is 1,038.6 meters high and is the highest mountain in Ireland. Although Carrauntoohil is a beautiful and calm mountain, there have been a total of 10 deaths since 1966.
Most of the plains in Ireland are in low central areas surrounded by coastal mountains. In Ireland, plains are greatly used to farm and keep cattle. Plains in Ireland are mostly used to plant: vegetables, spades, failing and winnowing crops.
The westerly coastline is exposed to the Atlantic Ocean. Since the west coastline is exposed to the hard blows of the Atlantic Ocean, the west coast is very rigid. In 1588 9,000 people lost their lives to a ship crash.
