Miss Spirito

Art Educator

Hello parents and students,

My name is Miss Samantha Spirito. I joined Saint Eugene School in September 2012. I am an alumnus of Moore College of Art and Design with a BFA in Art Education. I have worked with children in a creative classroom environment for over seven years.

In art class, I believe it is essential to create a positive atmosphere where all students can be successful. Our art projects are rooted in art history, create an understanding of the elements of art, and expose students to a variety of art media and techniques. I am an advocate of interdisciplinary art and often include math, technology, history and other subjects in my lessons. I encourage problem solving through art, and challenge students to persevere through artistic obstacles to create a finished artwork that they can be proud of.
