August 2017

Dear students and grown ups,

Welcome back to another year of art class at Saint Eugene! As always, we"ll be exploring painting, drawing, and sculpture along with the elements of art, principals of design, and a history of artists.

Thanks to you, we'll be starting the year with a brand new drying rack! Our drying rack can be wheeled from class to class, and will hold 25 wet paintings flat. This will help to improve the quality of our artwork, while keeping our window-sills looking uncluttered. As a giant bonus, we'll be looking at a new classroom "job"! Along with brush cleaners, supply passers, folder people, and class cleaners- we'll add painting collector to the list!

Don't forget to mark your calendars for November 25th when SES participates in A Bit of the Arts at the Twentieth Century Club. The SES Band will perform in the morning, and artwork from selected students will be on display all day long!

I'm looking forward to see you all back in September. Don't forget to show me pictures of what you've been creating over the summer!

If you have any questions, comments, or just want to share your excitement for the 2017-18 school year, feel free to email me at sspirito@sainteugeneschool.org or tweet me @art_spirito !

See you in September,

Miss Spirito
