5th Math: Mrs.Kindt

Welcome to fifth grade math! This year is a big year in math. We start to work on more abstract skills while solidifying basic arithmetic skills. Our biggest goal of this year is to learn how to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions. Along with these skills we will be focusing on critical thinking, problem solving, geometry, measurement and data.

We will be using the Sadlier Math textbook and workbook for core curriculum instruction, the Simple Solutions workbook for a spiral review (if you don't use it, you lose it!) and a spiral bound math journal to work on critical thinking, data, and consumer education.
