An extraordinary number of St. Cletus students receive honors and awards for their academic and community achievements. Graduating 8th graders receive scholarships, achieve top scores on private school placement tests, and go on to take honors or advanced high school courses.
More than 50% of St. Cletus students score in the “high range” on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS), versus 23% of students nationwide. The ITBS is a standardized test which is administered by the Archdiocese of St. Louis, and is used by many other Archdioceses and school districts across the country.
In the past 10 years, more than 99% of St. Cletus students have been accepted into their “first choice” high school. St. Cletus graduates have gone on to attend high school at Duchesne, St. Dominic, Christian Brother’s College (CBC), St. Joseph’s Academy, St. Louis University High School, Visitation Academy, Incarnate Word Academy, and high schools within the St. Charles, Francis Howell, Fort Zumwalt and Orchard Farm school districts.
St. Cletus students in grades 7 and 8 are given comprehensive finals, which helps prepare them for high school and gives them an edge over the average freshman.
St. Cletus graduates commonly say they find they have an advantage over other students in high school due to the strong foundation they received at St. Cletus School
Rylee Schaefer (Class of 2021) is attending Wright City High School. She was awarded Rookie of the year in Girls Varsity Golf and attended district competition. She is participating in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) with a focus in Political Science. Wright City High School recently awarded her contributions in both Business and Engineering Design.
2019 St Cletus alum Claire Mascia was named a St. Charles School District AP Scholar with Honor!
In 2018, St. Cletus graduates, Emily Schroeder and Julia Chamberlain were Valedictorian and Salutatorian of their class at Incarnate Word Academy.
Elizabeth Boschert Haberberger (St. Cletus class of 2002) is the President and owner of Dale Carnegie St. Louis and Kansas City.
Lieutenant Kevin Kerkemeyer is a 2013 graduate of St. Cletus School. After graduating from Duchesne High School in 2017 where he played football and was a thrower for the track team, Kevin began his Army ROTC career at Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. He achieved a 4.0 GPA while earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Spanish. He was one of 12 Army ROTC cadets in the country to receive the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement. He is currently in flight school at the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
Austin York (St. Cletus Class of 2018) was Captain of the 2022 Robotics Team at DeSmet Highschool.
