Monday:
No classes today!
Tuesday:
We will review for the Early Republic test today in class. Students will go over the study guide and students can ask questions on the content.
Homework for Wednesday: Study for your test!

Thursday:
New Unit: Age of Jackson
We will begin the Age of Jackson with a look at the election of 1824/ 1828. We will begin in understand the complicated issues surrounding the emergence of new political parties at this time.
Coming up: Andrew Jackson Trial Simulation (we will go over this next week!)
8th Grade Homework and Assessments
WWII Project: Due on May 6th, 2026
Tuesday:
Continue Totalitarian Dictators: We will finish going over the WWII dictators today with notes/ the graphic organizers.
Wednesday:
Introduction of the WWII Project- Students will be assigned one of the major assessments for this unit and begin working with their groups to research.
Thursday:
Early Events of WWII- We will look at the territorial acquisitions of the dictators and the early events of WWII. Students will brainstorm what the U.S. should do given the outbreak of war.
Friday:
America's Initial Stance on WWII: We will go over the evolution of America's response to the early events of WWII and compare the Cash/Carry Act vs. the Lend-Lease Act.
