NEW SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
NEW SCHOLARSHIP!!!!
CCC Shines Scholarship
For the first time, CCC will be awarding two 8th graders a scholarship to be put toward their high school education. Funds can be used by each student as needed to support their tuition, school supplies, technology needs, or other expenses toward their educational experience.
Recipients - The scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female participant of CCC. Each recipient should be a representative of the Mission of CCC: he/she uses his/her God-given talents to shine both on and off the stage. These students have shown growth and leadership through the performing arts in their time at CCC, they have made a positive impact on their community, and they hold promise to continue shining their light throughout their next steps in high school.
Timeline
Applications Due February 28th
Recipients Notified May 1st
Requirements
Eligible applicants include current 8th grade students who have participated in at least 2 CCC productions.
Each applicant will present their candidacy through this form, which includes:
A one-page resume highlighting experience in community service, leadership activities, extracurriculars, academics, and additional skills.
Two writing samples (250 words) in response to the given prompts.
One (1 page) letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, coach, or community leader (outside of CCC) that can attest to the applicant’s leadership skills and promise to shine in his/her community in high school. Letters of recommendation can be submitted to ecriss@catholiccommunitychoir.com.
All applications and letters of recommendation must be submitted by February 28th, 2025.
Selection
A selection committee of CCC supporters will anonymously review applications and submit recommendations for selection. Members of the selection committee have been appointed as supporters who hold no conflicts of interest with eligible applicants. The committee will make recommendations based on the Mission of CCC and the requirements laid out in the Scholarship program’s goals.
Applicants will be notified of their application status by May 1st, 2025.
Reach out to Erin Criss- ecriss@catholiccommunitychoir.com with any questions.
For all 8th Grade students coming from the 102 AOP Elementary, the Collaborative Testing Process will be offered at their local grade school. The testing period for these students will take place between Monday, September 25th through Friday, September 29th. St. Anastasia’s test will be on Tuesday, September 23 from 9:15 to 12:15 at school. Students will be able to send their scores to up to three (3) of the 15 Archdiocesan High Schools for potential academic scholarship evaluation! This will also include the Neumann Scholarship Test for any student that was notified that they qualified. This test will be offered to all families free of charge, saving students and families time, money, and hopefully providing peace of mind!
TRANSCRIPTS
Each year 8th grade parents request the release of their child's transcripts for their application to the archdiocesan and/or private high schools. This year we have changed the process and will digitally send you the information that you are requesting. The process will be as follows:
1. Send an email or written note to Mrs. Clare Ryan cryan@saintannies.org requesting a copy of your child's transcripts. PLEASE DO NOT email or drop a request off at the office, do not send an email to the administration.
2. Mrs. Ryan will make sure that the request is completed and you will receive an email with a copy of the transcripts attached. You can now make a hard copy for every school you apply to or digitally attach it to the school's application.
3. You DO NOT have to make a separate request for each school once you have received the email.
4. In December, when we send out your child's report card, please SAVE IT. You will be responsible to send a copy of the report card to the school your child is applying to. We will NO LONGER be responsible to send it automatically for you.
Please note: Once your child has been accepted to a high school, they will request their school file be sent to them. The 8th grade teachers will send all of our student files to the high schools the day after graduation. We will request from you the name of the high school your child will be attending later in the year.
If over the summer you change where your child will be attending, it will be your responsibility to contact the school we sent the file to and have it redirected.
