The aim of the St. Agnes library program is to encourage a love of reading and learning.

In library classes, we look at genres of fiction and dig into non-fiction.  We practice reading strategies to increase comprehension and make meaningful connections.   Where can we learn more about something?  How can we choose the best fit chapter book?  What's an ISBN?  Copyright means I can copy, right?  How do we know if a website is reliable?  How is realistic fiction different from historical fiction?

We like to read outside of library class, too, through enrichment programs such as author and illustrator visits, 4th grade book club, and 5th grade Battle of the Books.
