Service Activities
There are several service activities open for all who wishes to participate. Sai Baba teaches that selfless service must become a way of life.
The Sri Sathya Sai Baba Center of Detroit Metro participates in regular service activities such as:
Volunteering at Greenfield Nursing Homes
Serving lunch to the homeless population at CASS Community Soup Kitchen
Medical Screening and lunch service at Grace Centers of Hope
Preparing Healing Cards
Volunteering at Forgottren Harvest
Medical Camps
Walk for Values and Outreach projects
Food Drives
Blood Drives
Collections of winter jackets and toys for Children's Hospitals and Community Shelters
Human Values Awareness projects
Tree Planting service
Support Women-led Initiatives
and many other year-round need-based service projects.
SSE students are welcome to participate with adults in all center service projects and are also given special opportunities to join service activities organized for their specific SSE groups.
