What is SSE?

Sai Spiritual Education is based upon the principles embedded within the Five Human values of Truth, Right Action, Love, Peace and Non-violence — the interrelated and interdependent foundations of humanness.

The aim of our SSE program is to foster character development and spiritual transformation through helping children to bring out and practice the values that are inherent in them.

The five human values are elicited through lessons based on the five teaching techniques: stories, songs, prayers or quotations, silent sitting, and group activities.

Stories, songs, and prayers are selected from all countries, cultures, and faiths in order to bring awareness of universality of all religions and oneness of all humanity

Children will:

Learn about the life and teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Render selfless service to others
Appreciate the unity of the different faiths
Practice placing a ceiling on their desires

Students are divided into groups based on their school grade:

Pre-SSE - Kindergarten
Group 1 - Grades 1, 2 & 3
Group 2 - Grades 4, 5 & 6
Group 3 - Grades 7, 8 & 9
Group 4 - Grades 10, 11 & 12

SSE Class Timings & Location:

Sundays, 2:30 PM – 3:45 PM

Students are expected to attend regularly.

"Bal Vikas (SSE) is the primary basis of the great movement to restore dharma (righteousness) in the world. The ideal of the Bal Vikas is to raise a generation of boys and girls who have a clean and clear conscience. The actual syllabus is not so important as the creation of an atmosphere where noble habits and ideals can grow and fructify."
