Good Morning Roadrunners!
The Morning News Show is a chance for students to practice their speaking and listening skills. We produce the Morning News Show every Friday from Q2-Q4. We do not produce the show when there is a shorter week due to a holiday or parent teacher conferences. Students in this class are 7th and 8th graders. They join a production team that cycles through out the year so each week you see a different group of students sharing the news. We hope to one day broadcast the news live and on a daily basis.
Award Highlight
Excellent Intro / Opening
We submitted our intro into the 2024 National Student Media Contest held by Ball State University's College of Communication, Information, and Media. We received a qualification of Excellent for the opening shown below. The idea for this intro came from wanting to switch up our image and brand this year as compared to previous year were we had a New Anchor style. This year we wanted to lean into the podcasting style on our set and in our delivery of the Morning Show.

End of Year Intro
One of our favorite things to do throughout the year is to change up the intro to our Morning Show. This gives us the chance to share special moments, look back over a year, or to highlight something fun. In the last intro for the year, we shared the good morning of every anchor that worked on the Morning Show throughout this amazing school year.
