COVID-19 Plague Journal Clarification:
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all healthy and staying safe. As I've graded the first week of Plague Diaries I've seen some recurring problems. Please remember:
- The article you choose should be about the week's essential question. It should not be just any article about COVID-19.
- You should answer the questions about your article in complete sentences.
- Your diary entry should also be about the week's essential question and, if you are writing, it should be at least one paragraph long.
- Your diary entries should be about your own experiences. Think about them in terms of the “I’m Still Here” Voices from the Holocaust video worksheet we did the the first week of remote learning. This project is about YOUR experiences during the pandemic.
Announcement About Grading:
Just to clarify the new district wide grade system. Nothing has really changed, it's just that you won't see improvement for 4th quarter, the remote assignments, until the end of the semester.
- T2 and S2 will be the same grade until the end of the semester. At the end of the semester if your 4th quarter grade, E2, is higher than your S2 grade then I will average the two grades, if it is not then you keep the S2 grade you have.
- For example. T2 is 78% and E2 is 86% then your S2 grade, your semester grade, will be an 82%.
- If you T2 is a 78% and your E2 is a 40% then you keep your 78%.
