Let's Do Homework!
Welcome to Elementary Spanish! We wish to include you as partners in your child’s education. Parents play an important role in making homework a positive experience for their child. When parents show an interest in their child's schoolwork, they teach an important lesson--that learning is fun and worth the effort.
Students typically do not receive Spanish homework in K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th grades. However there may a be a few occasions that it may be necessary. There may be vocabulary that is essential to practice at home or if a student is absent or isn't staying focused and on task during class, they may have to make up the work at home to catch up. I also encourage any extra practice of the language at home doing any activity of their choice. It should be something the student enjoys. Ie: watching their favorite Disney movie in Spanish, going on DuoLingo to practice vocabulary, playing a favorite video game in Spanish(you can change the language on the consoles of any device), etc.... These activities can earn them Dojo Points which gets them closer to becoming the student of the month to choose a prize from my prize box. 5th grade will receive homework on a weekly basis.
If your child is having difficulty completing homework independently please notify me
