Dear 4L Families,
Open House was an amazing evening! Thank you for attending. 4L was so excited to share their work samples with you all. I really cannot believe the school year is almost over. I am so proud of all of my students. They are such fun to teach💚.
4L enjoyed the Book Fair this week. Thank you to the AMAZING SAG HARBOR PTA for organizing this fun event at the Learning Center. Thank you to Diana Neri for chaperoning this event. All of my students were able to choose some great books! We enjoyed some DEAR TIME (Drop Everything And Read) with our new book selections.
We are excited about Science Lab and visiting the Wax Museum next week. 4L also has tennis on May 21st and May 23rd. Please remember the bus leaves promptly at 8:55 am and we will not attend Morning Program on tennis days.
Enjoy your weekend,
Libby Lattanzio
Dear 4L Families, May 10, 2024
I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the stunning flowers and gift basket that was given to me for Teacher Appreciation Day. The beautiful basket is a reminder of the beauty and growth that fills Room 216 every day.
Your thoughtful gesture was very touching and I feel so honored to be a part of such a caring and supportive community. It has been a privilege to teach your children!
Warmly,
Libby Lattanzio

Dear 4L Families,
We are so proud of our mathematicians in 4L for successfully completing their NYS Math Tests this week! The students gave it their all and showed their skills during the assessment. Thank you to Jen Wolfson for bringing in Italian Ices for our celebration this afternoon. The students (and Mrs. Lattanzio and I) really enjoyed them!
This week, we began our unit on persuasive writing by discussing the essential question "Is deforestation an issues kids should worry about?" The students used evidence from an article we read in class to support their ideas and we discussed the importance of having voice in your writing! Ask your child what they think of the essential question.
This is a busy time of year in 4L, please continue to be on time for Morning Program and be mindful of homework responsibilities. Students are expected to read at least 15 minutes every night and complete their reading logs and math homework. 4L will continue to have spelling tests every Friday until the end of the school year.
Please review the following events for the rest of this year. Mark your calendars!
Enjoy the weekend!
Mrs. Lattanzio and Mr. Quinn
