Step One: Connect the lighting desk to the DMX input pictured below
Step Two: Power on Lighting Desk
Step Three: Power on Lights via the Redback Patch Bay. Make sure there isn't a voltage Fader on the Redback power system. If a LED or Moving Light is patched into a channel with the voltage fader enabled, This has the possibility of BLOWING the Light!!!! Turn on the patches 1-11 on the middle distro. Then turn on the master section A,B,C. Also make sure the channel is turned on via the touch screen.
Step Four: Load the default show file saved on the desk. On the touch screen Go to "Shows", Click on "Load" at the top of the screen, Click on "SOUNDSTAGE" then click "Load". Note make sure you are on Internal and not USB.
Now that you have the Show files loaded these are the next steps to control the desk.
Push the Master and GM fader to the top position.
The individual Channel faders control the intensity (Brightness) of each light, So if the fader is in the bottom position the light will be off Unless you are utilising the scene function. Faders 1,3,5,7,9,10,11 Correspond to LEDs and faders 2,4,6 Correspond to Moving Lights.
To change the colour of the LED lights select the channel you want to change and use the colour menu on the touch screen, You can also select multiple LEDs at a time to make them the same colour.
You can also select multiple LEDs using the select button on the channel faders and use the 'Chases' Function on the touch screen to have the light automatically change colour, the speed of this is controlled by the BPM Encoder.
Note Sometimes the Touch Screen won't respond, this means the Redback system needs to be turned on and off, This is down via the switchboard
First, select the Config Button
Select Channels
Select Channels you want to remove the fader from
Select Edit
Now Scroll to Curve
Select NonDim
Return to the home page
This will have changed the channel to not have a Voltage Fader now, return to the Riggers Menu and you’ll now see that the fader has been replaced by an on/off button.
