Studio 3

Dream team is a student group from SAE institute and consists of 3 members (John Dizon, Ji Hun Lee and Stefhanie Nathania) who have gathered together to prepare for the module AUS230.

Through this trimester, we started to work with young, powerful and artistic Bondi based indie band, Gully Days. During this trimester we recorded, mixed and mastered 6 songs from the band.

Over this trimester we recorded the band Shrug, aiming to complete a fully mixed and mastered 4 song EP, with music influenced by bands such as Ball Park Music and Big Scary #1 Dads. We hoped to maintain a lofiesque indie rock sound to maintain the feel and vibe of the band. The variety in the songs on the EP allowed us to practise a variety of techniques and really allowed us to grow as engineers and producers.

For my AUS230 Project I planned to Master all the tracks for The Lachlan Wells Band however revision after revision for the band meant I only had 2 songs to master for my project.

The next two songs are drum and bass tracks by an artist named Artesium who wanted me to focus on the feel of the drums specifically.

The last two songs are by Story Time, the tracks were recorded in 1992 and were previously mastered - meaning this will be a remaster.

Hi, I'm Zheng. Student of SAE.

Bachelor of Audio

My love for music has lead me to pursue audio engineering. As I wanted to explore and understand more about audio in general, and studying sound engineering has really opened up a new world to me. A world that I really enjoy, curious and passionate about.

During this time at SAE, I have developed many interests in the audio field not just studio recording. I really enjoy learning Post Production, Acoustics and Live sound. This Trimester has been the biggest learning curve for me. I am thankful for my mentors and colleagues on being so supportive. This allowed me to be happy with my projects and achievements.
