Setting up the TENTACLES

NOTE: Confirm the frame rate of the production and ensure the Ursa and Tentacles are all set to the same frame rate.

1. Turn the tentacle on in red mode (the LED should be flashing red).

2. In the phone app, choose ‘Add Device’ to add both tentacles to your tentaclesync app.

3. Click the orange clock sync button at the bottom of the screen. Settings will pop up - set these as below. 

4. Check the tentacles frame rate is set to the same as the camera.

5. Click 'Start'. 

6. Plug a tentacle in to your Aux/Mic In, and the other into the BNC TC in on the Ursa camera.

7. Confirm timecode sync has worked by having the camera operator and sound recordist watch the timecode clock on the camera and Mixpre6, and count out loud together.
