SADD and the Partnership Against Drowsy Driving will use winning PSAs, and honorable mentions, to promote safe driving and drowsy driving prevention. Your PSA may be used on our websites, partner websites, through social media, on television or other media, and will be publically visible at all NYS DMV locations, including NYS Thruway rest areas. If you have further questions about your PSAs use, please reach out to Lauren Meade, lmeade@sadd.org.
Of course! When you submit your PSA to the challenge, you must designate who will be your lead contact. This person will be contacted for all announcements and with any winnings. It will be their responsibility to inform the group of any updates or additional resources needed.
No, unfortunately you cannot submit an entry if you are not at one of the participating NY schools listed. The Partnership Against Drowsy Driving uses crash data and targeted information to decide which schools will be able to participate in the yearly challenge. We apologize if your school is not listed but we encourage you to reach out to Lauren Meade, lmeade@sadd.org, to talk about bringing on your school in future years.
Those who are selected to win this year's awards will be notified as soon as the committee has voted on the top PSAs. If the committee requires any changes be made, they will reach out for those adjustments. Once the final PSA is rendered, awardees will be sent accompanying paperwork to accept the funds. Funds will be sent via check or electronically, depending on the PSA creator's choice. Funds may take up to or over 90 days to be fully processed to the PSA creators once winning contracts have been selected and all parties notified.
Of course! Always be on the lookout for new opportunities at sadd.org/eventsandopportunities
We hope that you do!! Please feel free to promote your experience in your future career endeavors. Note, however, that SADD and the partners in this challenge will not provide job references for any future employment.
