It’s time once again to celebrate all of the incredible people who make SACS such a special place—those who teach, clean, cook, organize, drive, and care for our students every single day!
Through the SACS Education Foundation, staff members from across all schools and departments are recognized each month with the SACS Superstar Award. We’d love your help in shining a spotlight on the amazing work being done at Homestead by sharing this with your students and nominating your colleagues.
October was Down Syndrome Awareness month, and we would like to feature a few of the amazing students here at Homestead with Down Syndrome. Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder that is caused by having an extra chromosome. People with Down Syndrome are individuals with unique abilities, a wide range of emotions, and the capacity for love and joy just like any other person. We interviewed a few of these students, so you can get to know them better! Be sure to say hello when you see them in the hallways.
