SAT Day at Homestead will occur on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024. As a replacement for the ISTEP+ exam previously administered to students, all Juniors are required to take the SAT to fulfill standardized testing requirements and will be required to be on campus during the day. Students in grades 9, 10, and 12 will not be on campus and will have separate instructions to follow in the form of e-learning during the day. Please read the information below for specific instructions for each grade level.
9th Grade
March 5 will be an eLearning Day at home for students in grades 9.
Grade 9 students will not be on campus and should treat the day as an E-learning Day. Assignments on March 5 will consist of the following:
--Working on their “Class of 2027” Canvas Coursework
Completing an Ivy Tech entrance exam (Knowledge Assessment) module in Canvas that will qualify them for over 40 free college courses offered here at Homestead.

10th grade
March 5 will be an eLearning Day at home for students in grades 10.
Grade 10 students will not be on campus and should treat the day as an E-learning Day. They will be assigned traditional coursework from their teachers. For instructions, students should check their Canvas calendars to find e-learning work.
If time allows and you haven’t already, complete the Ivy Tech Knowledge Assessment module in the “Class of 2026” Canvas course that will qualify you for over 40 free college courses offered here at Homestead.
11th grade
March 5 is the School Day SAT exam for ALL juniors.
Grade 11 students are expected to be at school at the normal 7:40 start time. A Homestead teacher emailed students in February with your testing classroom location. Check your email if you are unsure where to go Tuesday morning. You can be dismissed at the conclusion of testing WITH PARENT PERMISSION. Parents, please check your email for a February 3rd email marked "SAT Day: March 5th" for this parent permission Google Form or call the Homestead Attendance Line at 260-431-2205.
12th grade
