We want to take a moment to encourage all Spartans not already involved in an extra or co-curricular activity to find a group to join. Participating in a high school club is a great way to enhance both academic and personal development. Clubs provide an opportunity to make friends with similar interests, do something you feel good about, and even add to your resume. For students planning on going on to college after graduation, sustained and meaningful club participation, which means joining a club that pairs well with your future plans and then sticking with that club throughout your high school career, is something very beneficial to include in university applications. Club, team, and performance group participation fosters personal growth, social skills, and community involvement, all of which prepare students for any type of future endeavor. Click here to view Homestead’s list of extra and co-curricular activities. If you have an idea for a club that we do not currently offer, please email Assistant Principal Jen Bay (jbay@sacs.k12.in.us ) to learn more about starting a new club at Homestead.
This year’s A Taste of Homestead is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, in the Homestead cafeteria. Students who are interested in participating can still sign up through the end of Semester 1. If you have any questions or would like some more information about A Taste of Homestead, please contact Sr. Peeper (jpeeper@sacs.k12.in.us) or Mrs. Beckman (mbeckman@sacs.k12.in.us).
All juniors and seniors will be taking a field trip in April to the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum to participate in a county wide Career Fair.
This career fair will be an interactive, in-person experience that will connect you to post-secondary opportunities in 4 areas: Employment, Enrollment, Enlistment, and Entrepreneurship.
