The three great Pyramids of Giza are some of the most famous pyramids of all. The largest is the Pyramid of Khufu standing at 455 feet tall. The smallest is the Pyramid of Menkaure standing at 200 feet tall. And last but not least the pyramid of Khafre standing at 448 feet tall. Many believe that they were made to be the final resting place of the bodies of dead leaders, pharaohs and rulers. It is said that the Egyptians were one of the first people to believe in the after life. They also believed in ka, ka is what was believed to be what drove your soul to live after death. Ka is the half of you that isn't alive physically but your ka or your spiritual twin that is still alive.
The Khafre pyramid is 448 feet tall and 706 feet wide. It is located in Giza Necropolis. It is the second tallest out of all the pyramids. It was made in the Fourth Dynasty ( 2570 BC ). It is unknown if a corpse is in the Khafre Pyramid.
The pyramid of Khufu is 455 feet tall and 755 feet wide. Its located in Giza Necropolis. Its the tallest out all of the pyramids. It was made in the Fourth Dynasty ( 2580 - 2560 BC). It was built to be the tomb of Khufu the Pharaoh and his queen are buried in the Khufu Pyramid.
The pyramid of Menkaure is 200 feet tall and 339 feet wide. Its located in Giza. Its the shortest pyramid out of all the pyramids. It was made in the Fourth Dynasty ( 2510 BC ). It was built to be the the tomb of Netjeri Menkaure the Pharaoh.
