Course Overview 🏛️
This course is designed to address todays whole student through the lens of Social Studies. The curriculum is built to engage the student with multiple themes; Freedom and Justice, Conflict and Compromise, Technology and Innovation, Unity and Diversity, Continuity and Change Over Time, Supply and Demand. We hone in on the era from 1865 to present day. We will observe, comprehend, discuss and evaluate historical, geographical features and principles, economic and civic events, civic duties and human rights of the world around us. The goal is to make all come alive, in order to aid students in growing skills to apply the classroom to the real world. Having the goal of fostering well rounded, educated and involved citizens. Measurement will be based on students ability to engage, ask questions, discuss, demonstrate understandings and synthesize their own thoughts.
