I am thrilled to be your teacher this year! I have been teaching social studies for over 15 years, and this is my 12th year at Sackets Harbor. I earned my associates degree from Jefferson Community College and then transferred to SUNY Cortland where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Adolescent Education and History and a master’s degree in history. When I am not in school, I am spending time with my 12 year old son, 11 year old daughter, husband, and cat Tommy. I love to cook and bake - listening to music and making food is my Zen time. I enjoy reading fantasy fiction, listening to audio versions of non-fiction books, and I love a good podcast. My favorite authors include Brene Brown and Malcolm Gladwell. My favorite podcasts include "Good Hang with Amy Poehler" and "On with Kara Swisher." My favorite show is Ted Lasso.
