Assignment:

After watching the video about Heather Brown, design your own Hawaiian landscape based on Heather’s style.  She uses multiple tints and shades of a single color. She has thick black outlines and in each section it is a solid color.  Use the drawing prompt and pictures of her artwork for you to design your own landscape.  Be Creative, fill up the entire paper with your drawing and color the whole project in.  

Supplies:

8 ½ x 11 white paper

Pencil

Black Marker

Supply of your choice to COLOR it in!

Students will watch a short video about artist Romero Britto.  After students watch the video they will create their own Butterfly drawing using the directions and videos above.  Draw in pencil first then outline with a black marker.  

DRAW BIG! Add different patterns inside the butterfly and add a colorful background.  Color with a supply of your choice!
