Surrealism in Photoshop

You will be using Photoshop to create a surreal scene...think DREAM-LIKE composition.

What is Surrealism?

a 20th-century avant-garde movement in art and literature that sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind, for example by the irrational juxtaposition of images.

We will discuss surrealism and look at the work of surreal artists to see how they created imagery that has captivated the imaginations of people for generations.

This is a world you will invent. Even though it doesn't exist- it should appear PHOTOGRAPHICALLY REALISTIC and SEAMLESS.

You will be combining various Photoshop tools used thus far and others we have practiced.

Use high resolution images or those you take (Even better!)

TOOLS to USE for this project:

• Selection Tools .- if it's neat and clean the result will be better on your work.
• Liquify Tool
• Soft Brush Eraser- excellent for blending
• Paintbrush tool - think about those colors!
• Changing layer modes, adding filters, and later effects.
• * You can add personal drawings (either scanned, photographed, or created with photoshop software)
