A haiku is a traditional form of Japanese poetry that captures a moment in nature, a feeling, or an experience in just a few words. It consists of three lines with a syllable pattern of 5 in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. Haikus are known for their simplicity and beauty, using vivid imagery and thoughtful expression to create a powerful impact with just a few words.

In the mountains high,

Coffee brews beneath the sky,

Fresh air, time drifts by.
