About me

I was born and raised right here on the Saanich Peninsula where I completed my high school education in French Immersion and went on to obtain my Bachelor of Arts French Major at the University of Victoria.  In my summers off from university, I had the opportunity to work for a student exchange organization in France, allowing me to hone my oral French skills.  

During a hiatus from university, I pursued my passion for hairdressing, earning my Red Seal, and I enjoyed a successful career in the industry.  The call to education however remained and I completed my Bachelor of Education at Vancouver Island University.  I began my teaching career in Campbell River where my husband, Vaughan, and I lived for 4 years. We made our way back to our stomping grounds out on the peninsula in 2022 and I have been loving teaching at Bayside (both of our former middle school!) ever since.

I am thrilled to be back teaching Grade 8 French Immersion this year as well our new grade 8 FAAS, Digital Media  Literacy.

I feel immense gratitude every day for being able to live, work, and play on the beautiful traditional territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ people.
