Greetings

Drawing from my experiences as a nurse, I recognized the need for conducting research focused on nurses' mental health. For over 20 years, I have been actively involved in research aimed at improving the mental health of nurses, domestically and internationally. Currently, I am engaged in collaborative research with researchers from Thailand, Malaysia, the United States, and Canada. Domestically, I am conducting a research project funded by a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research entitled, "Hospital-Wide Positive Behavior Support (Tier 1 Support) to Reduce Burnout and Turnover among Nurses."

We are currently taking graduate students who are interested in the following areas:

1. Nurses' Mental Health

Nurses work in highly stressful environments where factors such as patient care, night shifts, life-and-death decisions, and interpersonal relationships contribute to burnout and mental health challenges. Addressing these issues is essential to ensure the well-being of nurses and to maintain quality healthcare services.

2. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a widely used psychological intervention that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It has been proven effective in treating anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health conditions. This evidence-based therapy is particularly valuable for healthcare professionals seeking practical tools to improve their mental well-being.

3. Global Nursing

Global nursing addresses healthcare disparities, improves global health and provides culturally sensitive care in diverse settings. This field often involves collaborating with international organizations, addressing public health crises, and promoting healthcare equity on a global scale.

4. Diversity in Healthcare

Diversity in healthcare emphasizes creating inclusive environments that respect cultural, racial, gender, age, and other differences. It plays a critical role in improving patient outcomes, reducing disparities, and fostering innovation within healthcare systems. This field is particularly important for advancing equity and cultural competence in nursing.
