Hello, my name is Shwetha and I have a passion for the sciences especially after working with RCHS' Biotechnology Program. I specifically hope to major in biomedical engineering in my post-graduate studies with a sub-focus in pre-medical studies.

Stress is a prevalent issue in today's society and can be easily studied using zebrafish embryos. My project stems from a prior biotech project concerning stress in zebrafish embryos utilizing the drug CBD. My project concerns the use of valerian root, a herbal anxiety relieving remedy, in mitigating stress.
