Hello! My name is Tanvi Rami and I am currently a senior at Rock Canyon High School. I have a deep love for science which is what led me to take AP Research. A few of my hobbies are drawing, painting, photography, volleyball, and cooking. I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Every Saturday my family has mini soccer competitions which are lots of fun. I love to spend time in nature whether it is hiking, skiing, or just talking a walk. I also really enjoy traveling. For my next trip I hope to tour Europe and see the Aurora Borealis.
As I have grown up I have realized that I have a passion for STEM, especially in the engineering and medical field. I enjoy anything that has to do with technology and biology, such as coding, making websites, disecting, and etc. Due to my interest I have participated in TSA, Mock Trial, and Cyber Patriot. Additionally, I have always been fascinated with astronomy and space science. In college I hope to major computer science with a minor in biology.

I chose this topic because I am interested in Biotechnology and the future benefits it could have for our society. I decided to focus on developing arteries because medical treatments for coronary diseases are not that effective and they have a very high mortality rate. I believe that the advance of 3-D printing can be highly beneficial to many people and it can be used in many surgeries. My goal is to further the conversation and help in the effort to advance 3-D printing to later be used in actual surgeries and transplants.
