About the Researcher

Hi. My name Navika and I'm a senior at Rock Canyon High School. My plans for the future are to get a computer science degree and become a software developer. In school my favorite subjects are my math and computer science class, however I also have a side passion for learning about human psychology. One things that I am strongly passionate about outside of school is dance. I have been doing it since I was little and plan to continue dancing in the future.  I also enjoy outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking, biking, etc. 

My interests in research, particularly in this topic, stems from a curiosity about psychology and a desire to better understand human behavior. From this fascination with the ways people think, act, and interact with their surroundings, I’ve been captivated by the subtle dynamics that shape perceptions and decision-making. Over time, this intrigue evolved into a more specific interest in exploring how external factors, such as media portrayals and social norms, influence individual and collective behavior. This research topic allows me to delve deeper into the psychological and societal constructions of our day to day world, offering an opportunity to analyze patterns, uncover biases, and contribute valuable insights to the broader conversation about human psychology and media’s impact on our lives.
