Introduction
My research topic investigates how certain popular teen clothing brands represent thier brand on a scale of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I plan to find what store out of, Urban Outfitters, Pacsun, and Hollister is the most representative. Through rigorous research and consistent analyzation I will be able to determine the best places to shop for adolescents around the world.

Progress
I am offically halfway through my data collection process and have collected exaclty half the data I need to feel prepared for the final presentation. I have collected 6 weeks of complete data that fulfills the schedule I created at the start of the project. I am projected to be finished with my data collection by March! I feel ready to finish the rest of my data collection and begin the next steps of data analysis over the next month.
Setbacks
The only minor setbacks I have had during the research process was finding support for my methodology. Finding a system that was specfic to my topic and aplicable to the data I wanted to collect was the most difficult part. However, after intense research I found a supported methodology perfect for my data collection.
During the data collection process sometimes scheduling issues come up such as traveling that hinders me from following the day to day schedule. Although this only happened once, I just made up for it the following day and ended up evaluating two different websites in the same day. Being flexible and ready to adapt during this process is crucial.
Collected Data Highlights
So far I have noticed that Hollister has an overall higher average on the point scale I have been utilizing than Pacsun and Urban Outfitters. I have also noticed a trend in the models used for each website. Urban Outfitters has had the least diverse and representative models compared to Pacsun and Hollister. Each website has their own image they attempt to portray and it is interesting to see how these representations develop and impact how diverse, equal and inclusive the brands are.

Reflection
I have learned that I am a researcher that prefers structure and having a plan for my data collection. With a set schedule I feel more in control of the process and feel more productive when I know I have certain deadlines to meet. As for the topic, I have been surprised about how different each website is from each other. I thought they would have more similarities because they sell the same types of clothing to the same audience, however they have very different images they try and portray. The process so far has been enlightening and helped expose me to varying fashion trends.
