About Me
My name is Reagan Kerstiens. My interest in the science field was ignited in the Rock Canyon Biotechnology Program, where I have previously worked with Drosophila, investigating the effects of CoQ10 on offspring quantity. Through this program and my biology classes, I was exposed to RNAi, a relatively new realm of science, used to discover the effects of genes. I found this technology incredibly interesting, which captivated me to further explore this realm of science, in using RNAi to silence a gene believed to be involved in development.Â
Outside the lab, I am a varsity track and field athlete, primarily focusing on jumps and throws. I also participate in several school clubs, such as SNHS, Teams, and the Biotech club. I love the outdoors and the activities that it has to offer.
