Meet the Researcher!

Hello, my name is Emerson McDonald! I am a senior in AP Research at Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado!

My hobbies include playing basketball, running track, hanging out with friends/family, watching sports, and more!

As I finish my time at RCHS I plan to attend an university in order to study Business Marketing. 

Ever since I was a child, faith has played a huge role in my life. I spent my Sunday mornings in Sunday School at Cherry Hills and continued my faith into my adolescent years. However, Christianity, as well as other religions, has been and continues to be misconstrued. Figures of authority have used religion to oppress various groups and as motivation for unfair uses of power. When it came time to chose what I wanted to research I knew I wanted it to be religious related and figured I would look at women's roles in the different Testaments in order to prove that Christianity honors women!
