Let's stay connected, colorful and creative while we are away from school!
"Let's Light things up for the Holidays!"
We will be drawing inspiration from NYC, Pop Artist: Keith Haring as we draw and overlap various shaped light bulbs on our paper. Once you add color you will see how the colored lights change as they blend and overlap with one another! Lets have fun creating a festive, joyful image of colored lights to celebrate a happy, upcoming holiday season and bright and colorful New Year!
Supplies: You will need white drawing paper, a pencil, a black marker to outline with, an eraser and coloring tools (markers, crayons, colored pencils, whatever you have at home to use).
Have fun using line, shape and color while experimenting with CROPPING to make your snowman or snow-woman! When you use cropping, you allow part of your image to get "cut off" of the page, it leaves your imagination to run wild as you show an extreme close up of whatever you are drawing and have to imagine what has been left outside of the page. Zoom into a close up view of your friendly snowman! Have fun adding snowflakes, patterns on your hats and/or scarves, the more details the better!
“Through color I have sought to concentrate on beauty and happiness, rather than on man's inhumanity to man.”
