Snack time is usually around 10:15 (depending on our scheduled specials).  It is a good time to re-energize before lunch.  Please remember to send your child in with a healthy snack every morning.  Due to allergy concerns, I am not allowed to give children any food.  If your child needs ideas regarding snack choices, a good idea is to ask them what they have seen other children eat.  Please also send in utensils for that snack.

Dismissal - I want to thank you ahead of time for your patience during dismissal. September is always the slowest time for dismissal; as we are getting used to matching children with their relatives/guardians. Therefore, if your child is going home with someone new, please inform me and/or the office of the change and remind your child to avoid any delay or anxiety. 

Birthdays -  This year your child will be able to choose a special birthday activity.  The choices are extra recess or choice time, parent special visit - virtually or in person, special share bag (all about you).  As your child's birthday approaches (or in June for summer birthdays),  I will send home the choices sheet. You can discuss and ask your child which choice would make their day extra special.  Then send it back in so that we could fulfill their choice.  Additionally, as a special treat,  your child will receive a NO HOMEWORK pass for their birthday.  This may be used so that they do not have to do homework on their birthday or they may save it and use it for another day.  The homework pass may only be used once and your child needs to hand in blank homework sheet(s) with the homework pass attached for the day.
