Here at Rye Hills Academy, we know how keen many of you are to get on with revising from home. However, some of you simply don't know where to start or how to start. This website will be filled with a range of different ways to kick start your revision or even improve the current revision you are doing at home. We hope you will use the different resources that you find and begin to embark upon a new revision journey, enhancing the current one that you have. With GCSEs around the corner this is usually a time of doubt and worries – for both children and their parents. Families often look to schools for guidance on how to cope, and it is important that we, as an Academy, communicate the latest research on what does and doesn’t work. So, what advice can we give to parents wanting to help their child achieve during this final year at school?

The secret of making a success of your GCSE courses is simple – make sure you organise yourself so you can keep on top of the work for each subject and have a social life as well. This means following a healthy lifestyle, making sure you are fit and your brain is alert so it can work efficiently and you do not feel sleepy or sluggish when you really need to concentrate, then by using basic study skills you will be able to learn easily and effectively.
