We will have a short time to eat a snack each day. We will often do a “working snack” during reading in the afternoon. Students are responsible for bringing their own healthy snack for the day. Please no juicy, drippy fruits, and sticky foods (custodians request). Please avoid snacks high in sugar and fat (candy, cookies, chips, etc). 

ALL SNACKS MUST BE NUT FREE!!

Examples:

Fresh or dried fruits

Fresh vegetables (carrots, pea pods, celery, broccoli, etc)

Popcorn (pre-popped) or pretzels

Whole grain, low sugar cereals (Cheerios, Chex, Life, etc)

Whole grain crackers, graham crackers, or Teddy Grahams

Granola bars- NUT FREE

Animal crackers (unfrosted)

Pita crackers

Cheese stick

Beef jerky
